About Our Sputtering Targets

Precious metal sputtering targets are used in the production of thin films or coatings through a process known as sputtering. This technique is where a solid metal target is bombarded with high energy ions, causing the atoms to detach from the target and onto a substrate, resulting in the formation of a thin film. This is used in semiconductors, glass coating and solar cell coating applications.

We manufacture our sputtering targets from high purity Gold, Platinum, Palladium and Silver. We also offer alloys of these metals.

The standard target sizes are from 25mm diameter to 6” and thicknesses ranging from 0.1mm to 6.35mm.

If the target you require is not within our standard range of products, we are able to manufacture bespoke items, so please let us know and we will endeavour to meet your requirements.
